Looked at you
Wondered about the last time
I looked you in the eyes
Eyes, a kaleidoscope of blue and gray
And I hooked you around the waist
And brought you close
Arms winding around
When was the last time
I was this near to you
I was supposed to do so much

But you never really asked

You peer back
Small hands reaching out
