One evening I noticed something I never noticed before
A mouth gaping at me
Blue lips with a white interior
It whispered to me.
"You didn't see me did ya?"
This mouth had no eyes attached
But I felt it staring
"You look delicious. I could just munch you up. Yummy!"
It was a sly mouth
And knew just what I was thinking
"I don't have teeth, but that doesn't mean I can't."
I ignored the mouth
But each passing night
It seemed to get bigger
And my foot often found its way into this mouth
And I heard mouth chuckle
And I gave it a kick
To shut it up
"I'll be big enough and I'll swallow you whole."
